This beautiful common ornamental plant is occasionally described as euphoriant. Since during the use of Hydrangea the release of larger amounts of hydrocyanic acid can occur with lethal consequences, it is strongly advised not to use it. As an ornamental plant Hydrangea doesn’t release any hydrocyanic acid and is harmless.
